Living in a throwaway society…

August 13th, 2008

According to government studies, packaging has increased 51 percent since 1980.  Everything we buy is covered in more waste than ever, and what do we do with it?  We throw it away.  Over the past few years, we have increasingly scrutinized ourselves for being a ‘throwaway society’ that simply uses too much without reusing.  Given the increase in packaging, one would naturally assume that the motivation to reduce waste still has a long way to go.

As more and more waste is sent to local waste management centers, the cost to handle it becomes an even bigger pull on local communities.  This simply goes to show that more strides need to be made in order to make the effect on the environment that we really hope for.  While recycling waste in the home is one factor, waste in the business world is an entirely separate, but equally important issue.

Businesses with excessive waste have the same negative impact on the economy as excessive waste in households.  Not only do they lose money as a business, but they exert a tremendous negative force on the local economy by allowing their waste to become a costly problem.  As businesses create and inefficiently dispose of waste it inevitably costs more and more to repair the damage that inefficient disposal does.

By scrutinizing waste streams before they hit the landfill, EWS affiliates work to stop the damage to the environment and the economy before it starts.  In effect, businesses and affiliates make money and save the environment, proving that sometimes things are easy.

Times are changing

August 11th, 2008

Years ago, the economy was much different than it is today.  Products were manufactured domestically and the phenomenon of outsourcing jobs and manufacturing was not the problem that it is today.  This is precisely why EWS is the perfect opportunity for individuals who have always wanted to strike out on their own and run their own business.  Not only can affiliates experience the success of owning their own business, but they can feel comfort with the outstanding support network offered by Environmental Waste Solutions—ensuring that they have the knowledge and expertise it takes to offer businesses the most efficient waste management possible.

By (metaphorically!) jumping into waste, EWS affiliates become involved in an industry that knows no end.  Waste is and always will be present; it will never cease to be an issue for businesses.  At the same time, businesses can’t stop to deal with it.  They have enough to worry about already.  With profit, management, production, and employees to worry about, waste often tends to be moved to the back burner.  However, as waste and recycling awareness grows more and more every year, and with pressure from government regulations—businesses simply cannot ignore waste anymore.  This simply proves that a career in waste is a career that is stable.

In addition, while the constant presence of waste ensures job stability, affiliates can also take heart at the fact that their work scrutinizing and streamlining their clients’ waste will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the environment and the economy.  In the face of an economy that will send one in ten jobs overseas, EWS gives affiliates the chance to feel secure as well as successful.

The sun is in the sky…

August 6th, 2008

It’s summertime and there’s one thing you absolutely do not want to do, work.  The very last thing you want to do on those days where the sun isn’t too hot and there’s just the right amount of breeze is sit in an office and stare at a computer screen.  Or maybe you work outside, and the sun is the one thing you want to escape from.  Whether you want to get in the sun or out of the sun—Environmental Waste Solutions gives you the chance to add a level of flexibility to your life that you never thought possible.  You can reinvent yourself and your life in the ways that you’ve always wanted.

You can get away from the stuffy office.  You can stop breaking your back every day.  And you can say goodbye to long days that always seems the same. EWS gives you the chance to break the monotony that too many people think they have to put up with.  EWS offers potential affiliates the chance to own their own business, all without the risks that so frequently make owning a business difficult.  There are no employees, no overhead, and no required office space.

With a little motivation, EWS affiliates will establish contracts and build a list of clients that can make a six-figure salary a distinct reality.  This freedom gives affiliates the ability to enjoy those summer days.  It gives them the chance to take a day off and relax without having to worry about a supervisor breathing down their neck.

If the experience of working as an EWS affiliate had to be boiled down into one word, it would be simple, freedom.

More bang for your buck…

Businesses in every town and city across the country have programs geared towards rewarding their customers for doing businesses with them.  Some have buy-back and customer loyalty programs.  Others, in the face of rising gas costs, reward their customers by offering them vouchers for discounted gas.  What does this say to the rest of the business owners out there?  These programs prove three things about business in general.  One: Customers like being rewarded.  Two: Customers love free money.  And Three:  Businesses need to fight for their customers.

But what does that have to do with waste management?  Just like a customer appreciates free money, it would be ludicrous to suggest that any business wouldn’t appreciate the same.  Environmental Waste Solutions offers businesses the same kind of incentive that customers seek—free money.  EWS is capable of giving businesses their money back, through more efficient, effective, and responsible waste management.  Just like businesses need to fight for their customers, EWS offers business owners one more way to fight for their hard earned money.

By streamlining waste management, EWS gives businesses what may at times seem like a reward but in reality is actually their own money given back to them.  It’s almost as if someone were to walk up to them and say, “Here, this money is yours—take it.”

Many may have the mindset that there is no reason to waste money on waste.  In turn, many businesses do just that—they ignore their waste, allowing it to eventually become an expensive mess and an enormous money sink.  EWS makes it possible to not waste money on waste management, but at the same time ensure that waste management is cost effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Wealth in Waste

July 29th, 2008

We’ve all heard the saying, “Reduce, Recycle, Reuse” over and over again.  However, despite the amount of times we may have heard the saying, it’s hard to say exactly what it means. How are businesses supposed to reduce, recycle, and reuse, especially when business is centered on using in order to produce.  When businesses are so focused on producing, it’s often hard to give the same attention to reducing waste.

With EWS, businesses finally have the chance to make a difference without losing focus of what they got into business for in the first place.   When it comes to the necessity of more efficient waste management, the results speak for themselves.  In fact, EWS affiliates have experienced a strange reception to their work.  While, EWS affiliates approach each client hoping to negotiate a contract, the service they offer never seems hard to sell, especially when each offer is essentially an offer for free money and a clearer conscience.

By ensuring that waste management is efficient and effective and that all recyclable materials get to where they need to go, businesses save money and help the environment.  But the best part is that it’s about as easy as can be.  In the fast paced business world that we’re so often forced to keep up with, it’s always nice to be confronted by an easy decision, where the only issue is how much you can save by helping the environment.

In a business-world where cost-cutting and downsizing are too frequently resorted to in the name of profit, the service EWS offers is too remarkable to pass up.

It doesn’t take much…

Large companies across the country have spent countless amounts of money going green.  Many have adopted eco-friendly initiatives and energy programs while others have started to replace their vehicles with hybrids.   All of these measures, while helpful, are also very expensive.  While hybrid delivery trucks, paperless businesses, energy efficiency, and greening initiatives are more than helpful.  EWS proves that keeping a careful eye on waste can help just as much.

Ultimately, most businesses cannot adopt the same large scale eco-friendly initiatives.  They do not have the time or available resources to dedicate to “going green”.  Businesses today simply have more than enough on their hands running their business as-is. There are entire businesses dedicated to greening.  How then can businesses, which must worry first about making a profit, make a positive impact without breaking the bank?

EWS offers a greening solution that is applicable and effective for every business.  From the foodservice industry to manufacturers, the services of EWS can make a difference.  Business owners from the smallest family business to the largest corporation are capable of going green, and they can do so without spending a dime.

The beauty of EWS is the very fact that businesses can help save the environment without much effort.  EWS affiliates scrutinize every business’ waste streams, allowing them to reclaim the money they unwittingly threw into the dumpster through inefficient waste management practices.  EWS turns waste as businesses know it on its head, and gives money back to the businesses that previously didn’t appreciate the true weight of waste.

Going green, step by step.

July 21st, 2008

With more and more attention being paid to the increasing need to help the environment, businesses across the world have felt the need to go green.  Over the past few years, the overwhelming push to “go green” is taking the entire world by storm.  With this push to go green, businesses are encouraged both by community and at times by law to take every step they can to decrease their impact on the environment.

Regardless of the positive impact of going green, businesses cannot help but feel the cost of the entire process; this forces businesses to take the small steps that, while small, can still make a difference.  Every day, businesses make these steps.  They reduce their energy usage, they use recycled materials, they go paperless, and more.  However, while businesses pay attention to what they use, they too often forget about what they have used.

While businesses have the right idea, they pay attention while they consume and forget about what they throw out.  They don’t always realize the significance of the waste they produce.  EWS has the ability to change this mindset.  EWS affiliates educate their clients on the reality that is it not only possible to waste by consuming too much, but by forgetting the consumed.  To allow waste to remain waste—is just that, a waste.

Not only will businesses be able to go green, but they will be able to do so without spending valuable time and money.  Businesses will make a positive impact on the environment as well as their finances.

What’s going on?

One Person \'Can\' Make a DifferenceTurn on the radio or the television and you’ll see them.  You’ll see the handful of problems that just won’t go away—problems that are seemingly impossible to overcome.  At the same time, what are we constantly told? We’re told every day to change our lives, our habits, and our routines to make a difference.  We stop using plastic shopping bags, we buy hybrid cars, and we use energy efficient light bulbs.  We do everything we can to make a difference and we are constantly reminded that there are millions of people working to solve the same problems all over the world.  This world-wide push to help is aimed at the one thing that we’ve never been able to control.   The force that the weather channel can’t seem to pin down, the force that destroys cities, changes the seasons, and powers our homes and automobiles— the environment.

But how can we possibly hope to change the environment? Despite the difficulty, helping to improve the environment is a task that can be accomplished.  However, it is impossible to do alone. Recently, it has become obvious that our efforts need to spread beyond the home, and into business.   By becoming involved with EWS, affiliates and clients are capable of helping the world inch closer and closer towards a better environment.  Ultimately the small changes that affiliates help their clients make contribute to something much greater.

By streamlining waste management, businesses not only become more efficient and profitable, but they reduce the amount of energy used to dispose of their waste while becoming less of a burden on the environment.  EWS gives businesses the chance to have, if not a positive impact, at least a neutral impact on the environment.   Finally, businesses have the chance to join the struggle for a better environment.  It has never been easier become an environmentally conscious business.

EWS proves to businesses that making a difference doesn’t always have to involve a great sacrifice. It’s much simpler than that.

Take a step forward…

Working From Home on Your ScheduleThis time of year, things are beginning. In the same way that flowers are blooming after winter, college and high school students are graduating and beginning new paths that will carry them into the future. However, even during a season of milestones and next steps, it’s hard to hold on to the feeling of “newness” that comes with progress. It’s hard to keep that sense of freshness for as long as we would like to. Too often, we look at milestones such as the coming of spring or a significant point in life and forget about them soon after. Sadly, we slip into an attitude where we simply move from day to day, without the vibrancy that we may have felt weeks, months, or years ago - when everything was new. One day everything is great and the flowers are blooming, but there are still things to worry about.

EWS offers affiliates and clients the opportunity to change this, a chance to become involved in a business where every day gives you the opportunity to make a change.

Whether someone is working with EWS as a client or representing EWS as an affiliate, they have the opportunity to restore a sense of progress and growth that so many people too often lose. Clients are given the refreshing opportunity to do something good for the environment and affiliates are given the chance to make a difference without going broke. Whether potential affiliates are feeling the grind of the daily 9 to 5 or merely want to take the reins and take a step forward on their own - Environmental Waste Solutions provides an open door to a fresh step in the right direction.

There is no cubicle. There’s no stuffy and uncomfortable dress code, and quite honestly - there’s no limit. Affiliates and clients enter into a business relationship that not only offers a real chance for personal success and growth, but they have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment as well.

EWS isn’t just a single fresh step; it’s a whole new path.

Here’s a tip…

July 11th, 2008

If you were to search for “Home business advice” or “money saving tips for business owners” it is likely you will find a wealth of information about running a business. Business owners are assaulted by lists of suggestions by other business owners for maximizing profit or saving money. Some of the information may be helpful, some of it may be easy, and some of it may be out of the question. However, one of the more effective and easy ways to maximize profit and save money is, more often than not, left off of these lists and ignored in favor of complicated and inconsequential business strategies.

More effective waste management is the easy, efficient, and effective path to more profit. EWS affiliates save their clients from hundreds to thousands of dollars every day. Money they once threw away, they now keep. EWS clients discover that efficient waste management through is as simple as a phone call and a conversation. They can give up making inconsequential changes, all in the name of profit, that will ultimately amount to nothing. Waste is here and now, and it always will be. So why not make the most out of it? Over the years, EWS clients have been reminded that the list of worries and stresses that come along with owning a business will always be long. EWS Affiliates shortens that list for good, reducing the stress of owning a business while producing a change that can always be seen in the form of more profit, more efficiency, and a positive impact on the environment.
